FAQ
What is ReallyFreePDF?

A free website for common PDF tasks — merge, split, and compress — that run in your browser. You do not need an account, and there is no paywall.

Is it really free? Any daily limit?

Yes. There is no subscription, no daily quota, and no sign-up. The only practical limit is your device’s memory when you open a very large file. If we ever add a charge or a quota, we will say so on this page and in the Terms before it applies.

Do my PDF files get uploaded to your servers?

No. Your document stays on your device while the tool runs. We do not take your PDF contents. After a job finishes, the page sends the tool name and a random id so we can count uses. That request does not include the file. See About for how to verify this, and Privacy for the full policy.

Do I need to install software?

No. Open this site in a modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, and similar), pick a tool, and work there. Nothing extra to download for everyday use.

Which tools are available?

Merge combines several PDFs into one. Split extracts pages or saves each page separately. Compress tries to make a file smaller. Files that are already tightly packed may barely change. Each tool page has its own How to and FAQ for details.

What about password-protected PDFs?

Locked PDFs cannot be processed while they are still encrypted. Unlock them first in a PDF reader (if you are allowed to), then use the tool again.

How do I get help or contact you?

Read About for how the site works, or email [email protected]. Also see Privacy and Terms.
